Spectra polaroid film on airplane? - polaroid airport

Its spectrum is already loaded with film and I will complete the online registration at the airport. I know that I checked off the hand, but it is possible that even if the film is already in the camera?

Just as we travel with 35mm cameras or more, airports have to be a nightmare. X-ray machines can damage, some a little, some much more .. It depends on film speed and camera angles as it passes through the machine.

Yes, to examine his hand. Many want to lose this idea, but it is their right, even if it slows down the line a bit ..

The higher the film speed, the less likely is the X-ray damage, however, depends on the configuration of the machine or the other, it can happen, you can still use the mist, rings, lines, pictures of ghosts or shadows of images of things. .. Take care you do not overwork themselves to the hand and make another movie about you, then ..

The simple answer is yes, there is damage that is caused by X-rays, but from personal observation, not detectable.

I traveled all over the world, pre-9/11 took all precautions, lead-lined bag is used, and asked my film hand inspected.

In those days, not punishment. During a trip to Spain in 2004, my film an X-ray at least 7 or 8 times, no adverse effects. Photos from my trip:

I noticed strange scratches or fogging in my Tri-X 120 film body or my 35mm Ektachrome film, or my 35mm.

That's what I do to minimize the amount of X-ray replaced my film.

1. Enter all your movies (no photos, no boats) in a large Ziploc plastic bag. I (Size 1 gallons like, but use 1 room, if you have a lot) to the film. If you pots, my luggage, I vacuum, or put them in the camera bag.

2. When I go through security checks and x-ray machine, take my film in its plastic bag andput in the tray with my shoes. The reason is that my camera bag and equipment is almost always difficult, people with safe operation of the X-ray machine, that is, they stopped and further exposure to X-rays, if you see your film is for you, often without stop. If possible, as much distance between your shoe rack and a camera bag to be implemented as possible. I'm going to do manually, if I enter in my film and camera bag, or shoes for my wife in my films, shoes and bag. If the movie into the garbage bag next to the camera, it can get that exposure as much as the camera bag.

3. Never put your film in checked baggage. Although the TSA warns that, as checked baggage x-ray machine, the film is safe.

If you are really concerned about excessive X-rays, you can get your movie while driving, or the sending of my films, but there is no guarantee that your charger can handle packages with their X-rays as a measure of caution.

For you I am not making the effort toForce spectroscopy with nothing. But if you have concerns, you can try to run through their shoes. I remain firmly in the X-ray machine to inspect more closely, or just opened in May, and ask what it is.
